I found this youtube when I was trying to find out more information about Podcasting and I immediately thought wow what a a fun way to learn about podcasting. Please let me know what you think about it.

Prior to this week’s tutorial I had not experimented with podcasting. I learned that podcasts are typically audio files. The difference between podcast and a regular audio file is that you can subscribe to podcasts by using a tool such as iTunes and then any new audio files or video files may be uploaded to the site you have subscribed to will become available for download to your iPod or MP3 player. iTunes is a tool that may be downloaded for free at http://www.iTunes.com

How can Podcasting be valuable tool in the classroom?
Most primary or high school students of today have access to or own an iPod/MP3 player. The educator may help the student to engage in learning by allowing the use of iPods or MP3 players to be utilsed in the classroom. If iPods and MP3 players are used correctly and appropriately in the context of a classroom it could prove be a valuable tool that enhances the teaching and learning process. The authenticity collective with high order thinking gives these tools endless possibilities for assessment tasks.
